Overview
McGill University is one of Canada’s leading research universities and among the world’s most respected institutions of higher education. As Assistant to the WebCT Coordinator for the English Language Programs, I supported the implementation and administration of online learning technologies, provided technical assistance to faculty and students, and developed communication systems that strengthened engagement between current students, staff, and alumni.
Key Achievements & Contributions
- Supported the adoption and day-to-day operation of WebCT, one of the earliest learning management systems used in higher education.
- Provided technical training and support to professors, staff, and students using online learning technologies.
- Designed and launched a monthly digital newsletter connecting current students, faculty, and alumni.
- Built and maintained a comprehensive student and staff contact database to support ongoing communications and engagement initiatives.
- Improved information accessibility and communication within the English Language Programs through the use of emerging web-based technologies.
Educational Technology & User Support
- Provided technical support and training for faculty, staff, and students using WebCT learning management systems.
- Assisted instructors in integrating online learning tools into classroom and distance-learning environments.
- Troubleshot technical issues and supported users with varying levels of technical proficiency.
